The production of still lifes concerned with beauty for MM Magazine was configured as thorough research grounded in the expression of concepts related to the world of beauty by creating images ad hoc. The modes of representation were changeable, with the presence of the product re-interpreted in terms of aesthetics on the one hand, and the expression of the functionality of the product translated into an evocation on the other. In this way, the iridescence of the Shiseido eye shadow is emphasised by the provocative presence of beetles that embellish nature with chromatic inspirations. In parallel to this, the fading peony shows the passage of time in an aesthetic dimension that restores its beauty and preciousness.
